What is CorrectPlace?
CorrectPlace is Nigeria's first GPS-verified property platform. We connect property seekers with owners, agents, and managers — but every listing must pass our GPS photo verification before going live. This eliminates fake listings and scams.
What areas of Nigeria does CorrectPlace cover?
CorrectPlace works nationwide across all 36 states and the FCT. Most listings are currently concentrated in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Ibadan, but we are growing rapidly across all states.
Is CorrectPlace available as a mobile app?
Yes. CorrectPlace is available as a mobile app on both Android (Google Play Store) and iOS (Apple App Store). You can also use the web platform at correctplace.app.
Is CorrectPlace free to use?
Listing a property is completely free for property owners, managers, and agents. Property seekers need a subscription (starting from ₦10,000/month) to view full property details and owner contact information.
GPS Verification
How does GPS verification work?
When you take a photo with your smartphone (with location services enabled), the phone embeds GPS coordinates and a timestamp into the photo file — this is called EXIF data. When a lister uploads photos, our system reads this data and checks that the coordinates match the property's claimed address. Photos without GPS data or taken at a different location are rejected.
What if my phone doesn't record GPS in photos?
You need to enable "Location Services" for your camera app in your phone settings. On Android: Settings → Apps → Camera → Permissions → Location. On iPhone: Settings → Privacy → Location Services → Camera → While Using. Photos without GPS cannot be used for verification.
How long does verification take?
Our team reviews listings within 24–48 hours on business days. You will receive a notification once your listing is verified and live, or if it is rejected with a reason.
Why was my listing rejected?
Common reasons for rejection: GPS coordinates don't match the property address, photos were taken far from the claimed location, photos appear to be downloaded from the internet, or the listing details are incomplete or misleading. You will receive the exact reason and can resubmit.
For Property Seekers
How do I search for properties?
Log in, then go to the Search Properties page. You can search by: (1) Landmark — type a nearby school, mall, or known place and set a radius. (2) Area/City — enter the neighbourhood, LGA, and state. (3) Estate name — enter the estate directly. You can also filter by property type, bedrooms, and price range.
Why do I need a subscription to see property details?
Our subscription model funds the GPS verification system and keeps listing free for property owners. It also deters scammers — paid subscribers are vetted users, giving property owners confidence to share their contact details.
What does a subscription include?
With an active subscription you get: unlimited property browsing, full property details and photos, owner phone and email contact, ability to book viewings, and access to all verified listings across Nigeria.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. You will retain access until the end of your current billing period. Subscriptions are non-refundable once activated, except where required by law.
For Property Listers
Who can list a property on CorrectPlace?
Property Owners, Property Managers, and Licensed Real Estate Agents can all list properties. You must sign up with the correct role and complete identity verification (KYC) for full access.
How much does it cost to list a property?
Listing is completely free. There are no commission fees, no listing fees, and no hidden charges. CorrectPlace earns from seeker subscriptions — not from property professionals.
What is KYC and why do I need it?
KYC (Know Your Customer) is a one-time identity verification where you submit a government-issued ID (NIN, passport, or driver's licence) and a selfie. It protects seekers by ensuring all listers are real, verified people. Without KYC, your listings may be limited.
Can I list multiple properties?
Yes. You can list as many properties as you own or manage. Each property goes through its own GPS verification process.
What happens if I move a property or it gets rented out?
You can update or deactivate any listing from your dashboard at any time. Once a property is no longer available, mark it as rented/sold so seekers are not misled.
Payments
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept debit/credit cards and bank transfers, processed securely through Paystack. All transactions are encrypted and your card details are never stored on our servers.
Is it safe to pay on CorrectPlace?
Yes. All payments are processed by Paystack, one of Nigeria's most trusted payment gateways. Our website uses HTTPS encryption. We never store your card information.
What are the subscription prices?
Monthly: ₦10,000 (30 days). Quarterly: ₦25,000 (90 days — saves 17%). Annual: ₦90,000 (365 days — saves 25%). All plans give the same full access to verified listings.
Safety & Trust
How do I know a listing is genuine?
Every listing on CorrectPlace carries a GPS Verified badge — meaning the photos were taken at the actual property location and reviewed by our team. You can also view the GPS coordinates on the listing. No verified badge means the listing is still pending.
What should I do before paying any rent?
Always inspect the property in person before making any payment. Verify the address matches the listing. Never pay money via untraceable channels (cash to a stranger, etc.). Use the booking feature on CorrectPlace to formally schedule a visit.
How do I report a suspicious or fake listing?
Contact us immediately at support@correctplace.app or WhatsApp 09039556831 with the property ID and reason for concern. We will investigate and remove the listing if it violates our policies.
